What is Genre?

 Today we learned about genre and here is my summary of the subject

Genre: is a way to categorize media text

Genre convention: is an aspect of a genre that is frequently used to a point where the audience may expect it like ghosts in Horror movies

- it is a sci-fi comedy movie that subverts the superhero genre by having comedy in the mix and sci-fi also, it has the conventions of sci-fi movies like hyper speed travel and stuff like that and lasers and weird crap
